Case 1) My thoughts keep returning to this blog about an 11 year-old having an unlimited access to the fashion kingdoms in the world. When my sister showed me this blog in the afternoon, I was quick to associate her as a rich, spoiled, little brat who can have anything in the world by stomping her feet and howling at her parents. I have to admit I had a sudden pang of jealousy at the time as I tried to subjectively decipher the material in her blog. Yes, her material is fresh, painfully detailed, and stand out from the sea of bloggers on the internet. (In a way, she reminds me of Lady Gaga, an independent thinker who dares to be different in her own way.) She intrigues me to a point I have to know more about this person Tavi. Turns out she's from a normal family who decides to passionately write about fashion and art through her own perspective. I came to realize that a lot of her clothes are recycled second-hand clothes she had found in various places and altered herself. In comparison to all the rich, young "fashionistas" who pride themselves in buying the latest haute couture on the market, her style is so much more appreciating; fashion should be a statement of who you are and not you becoming a slave to a name. Plus fashion recycling is such a dying beauty in the world today. It should, as a matter of fact, be further promoted. After analysis, my jealousy has dissipated and replaced by awe at what this little person has accomplished.

Case 2) It's no secret I totally adore Lady Gaga and her whirlwind of psychotic fashion sense. But watching clips of her interview with Ellen DeGeneres today made me like her even more. She hits home with talking about being brave and stepping out to be herself....my biggest fear and thorn on my side in my life.
Conclusion) Whether it's my thoughts or my artworks, I have always tried to cover them up thinking they're not good enough or that I let people know too much about myself. Distance is what drives people away. Directness and earnestness are what attract people. This has led me to the thinking of whether it's really necessary to keep so many different blogs I have...to be honest, it's like an internet multiple personality disorder. I want the freedom to talk about anything and display anything on one platform. I want it to stand as "me".
